Frequently Asked Questions
What can I work with you on?
I work with people navigating the human side of work: decisions, relationships, leadership, career questions and change.
You might be dealing with a difficult conversation, managing a team, questioning your direction or feeling stuck in patterns you’d like to understand.
You don’t need a perfectly defined goal to begin. We can work out where to focus together.
Do I have to use Human Design in coaching?
No. We can work entirely through coaching, or bring Human Design into our conversations if you’re interested.
It’s one of the approaches I offer. We’ll discuss what feels useful for you.
What is Human Design?
Human Design is a system for self-exploration that draws on astrology, the I Ching, the chakra system and Kabbalah. It uses your birth date, time and place to create a personal chart.
I use it as a reflective framework for exploring decisions, working patterns and relationships. It isn’t a scientifically validated assessment, and your own experience remains central to the conversation.
How do you use Human Design in your work?
We look at the themes in your chart alongside what you’ve experienced and what’s happening for you now.
That might open up a conversation about how you respond to pressure, navigate expectations or approach decisions. There’s room to question what we discuss and decide what you want to explore further.
Can you help if I’m questioning my career?
Yes. Coaching gives you space to explore what’s working, what’s missing and what you want from your working life.
We can look at your strengths, priorities, practical circumstances and possible next steps. You don’t need to arrive knowing whether you want to stay, leave or do something different.
Human Design can be part of that exploration if you’d like, but it won’t prescribe a role or career path.
Do you work with teams and businesses?
Yes. I work with teams and leaders to explore differences in how people communicate, make decisions and approach their work.
Sessions can focus on a particular challenge or create space for a broader conversation about working together. We’ll agree the purpose and approach beforehand, including whether Human Design is appropriate.
Do you work with founders and business owners?
Yes. Coaching offers space to think through decisions, relationships, responsibilities and the challenges of running a business.
You might want to explore how you lead, your relationship with a co-founder or how to build a way of working that fits your priorities and circumstances.
What’s the difference between coaching and a Human Design session?
Coaching starts with something you want to explore or change. We work through questions, reflection and practical next steps.
A Human Design session centres on your chart, using it as a starting point for a conversation about your experiences and patterns.
If you’re unsure which to choose, get in touch and we can discuss it.
Do I need to understand Human Design before booking?
No. I’ll explain what you need to know in plain language and relate it to your own experiences.
You’re welcome to bring questions, or simply come with curiosity.
What if I don’t know my birth time?
Get in touch before booking a Human Design session. Birth time affects the chart, so we can discuss what information you have and the limitations of using an approximate time.
You don’t need birth details for coaching without Human Design.
How do sessions take place?
Individual sessions take place online. Human Design sessions include a recording so you can revisit the conversation afterwards.
For team workshops and in-person work, we’ll discuss the format and location when planning your session.
What can I expect to take away?
Depending on what we work on, you may leave with a different perspective, a clearer understanding of a situation or a practical next step.
There’s no single outcome or guaranteed transformation. We’ll focus on what matters to you and how you can use what you discover.
What does it cost?
You’ll find current prices and session details on the relevant booking pages.
Team workshops and bespoke work are priced according to the scope. Get in touch to discuss what you have in mind and I’ll provide a quote.
Do you offer yoga classes and workshops?
Yes, I also teach Kundalini yoga. You can find upcoming classes, workshops and booking details on my yoga page.
I’m not sure where to start. Can we talk first?
Of course. You don’t need to know which session to book before getting in touch.
Email carly@carly-ferguson.com or book a discovery call, and we can explore what would be most useful.
